“I used Organic Clay Interiors to refinish a small hall way with the American Clay product. We discussed the “issues” with this space which include being a bit dark. Working with Clay Owens, I choose to put a smooth surface and included mica in the finish to reflect light and make the room brighter. Organic Clay Interiors did a really good job even thinking about and fixing some exposed things in the room. This means some electrical wires were now under the finish when they were exposed before. They improved the transition of some of the door frames that had not been completed well in the past. Organic Clay Interiors did a very good job and I was pleased with the timeliness and clean up.
We were so happy with these results that we again hired Organic Clay Interiors to refinish the walls in a very large room, 16’ X 10’. This room has a beamed ceiling so I was worried about the material getting on the wood but Organic Clay Interiors finished this without a problem. Again, we corrected other issues with light switches and wires that could not have been so easily corrected with more traditional wall finishes.
Organic Clay Interiors was efficient and timely and very flexible to work with which made this remodel one of my more successful. But the real advantage with Organic Clay Interiors is the owners (Clay Owens) artistic take on projects. His ability to create an artful environment and the American Clay product is so perfect for his creative nature and the creative possibilities of the materials. I requested ‘shadow’ dragon flies in special places in the room and they are subtle but so special. We did work to get a very specific color mix in this room. Again, subtle but one color fading into another and back again to create the most pleasant plaster type finish wall. Organic Clay Interiors also created a very nice transition from this room to the above mentioned hallway. Organic Clay Interiors seems expert in their ability to get different effects from this product.
We will be using Clayton Owens & Organic Clay Interiors again soon as we have two other rooms we intend to refinish.”
